The primary aim of the SMARTCATs COST Action is to create a Europe-wide network of world leading academic and research institutions and key industries to promote the use of smart energy carriers on a large scale in order to increase fuel flexibility and carbon efficiency of energy production and to support distributed energy generation strategies.

In order to share expertise, enrich and strengthen connections between leading academic and research institutions, University of Belgrade Faculty of Mechanical Engineering organizes a two day forum on Smart Energy Carriers for distributed energy mainly devoted to PhD student, postdoc and young researchers.

During the 2 day forum, scientists will share their area of expertise with PhD students and early carrier investigators, and discuss with them in round tables organized on specific topics.

During the first day, lectures on energy carriers in the frame of the global energy scenarios, technologies, research and opportunities will be given. During the discussion that will follow the lectures, critical issues and topics will be identified.

The second day will be devoted to the round tables on topics and issues identified during the first day discussion and moderated by the lectures or from a early career investigator. A poster session for PhD students will be held during the two days

Participant Support

Support to the Action participants will be given according to the usual COST rules and the provision of the Action budget plan. Participants will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 500€ upon invitation of Grant Holder
